Physicist arrested 3 times, calls for civil resistance to escalate

Daniele, Physics PhD candidate in Berlin, has been arrested 3 times since the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its report in April. A powerful speech about why the time for demonstrations and petitions is over - it's now or never. Scientist Rebellion is an international group of scientists, academics, students and supporters who walk the talk. Because everything else (writing papers, giving interviews, holding talks…) has failed in terms of the fact that emissions are still rising and ecosystems are still being destroyed. Therefore, Scientist Rebellion engages in peaceful civil disobedience. We researchers have been essentially warning about the consequences of climate and ecological breakdown for thirty years. Basically, we would shorten it to the sentence: we are driving the planet against a wall right now, and without a speed limit: and no one in power is truly listening.
